FAQ

Do I need an account? No. KitchenCNC is single-user and local-first — there's no login and no tenancy model.

Where do my saved designs live? Locally, in the app's own database. There's no cloud sync yet.

What CAD software do I need? None. The configurator is the design tool — there's no separate CAD step before export.

What file formats can I export? DXF (layered 2D, the default) or STL/3MF (3D solids in millimetres), depending on your machine profile. See Exporting to CNC.

Why did my export get blocked? A job only exports once it's validated. An ERROR status means something in the design would produce an unsafe or invalid cut file — fix it in the configurator and reconvert.
